Richard Martel began his career in personal and group insurance. After making the acquisition of several personal insurance firms, Richard made group insurance his specialty. For the past 20 years, he has advised his clients and encouraged them to discover self-management, an alternative solution that gives them more autonomy and independence.

Richard is ambitious both for his company and his clients. His greatest wish is to change the insurance landscape and to make Martel & Martel the top insurance firm in alternative insurance in Québec.

Anne Martel

Anne Martel first specialized in commercial insurance and then became an expert in advising claimants. In 2005, her services were rewarded during the Gala du Regroupement des Cabinets de Courtage d’Assurance du Québec, when she received the Broker of the Year award, becoming the youngest woman ever to win this award.

With her tenacious wish to pay it forward and encourage the next generation, Anne has been in involved in the creation of the Lanaudière Young Chamber of Commerce and Professionals and cofounded the mentorship program of the MRC de L’Assomption.

During her free time, Anne sits on several boards and invests in the community through numerous sponsorships.

Jacques Martel began his career in insurance in 1964. As time went on, he witnessed many changes in his sector of activity but 50 years later, one thing still has not changed in his practice: his constant attention to building a strong relationship and offering the best solution, adapted to the company’s needs.

Proud of his past accomplishments, Jacques is even more proud and honoured by Martel & Martel’s future. In fact, due to the future assured by his two children, the family business’s future looks more than promising.

Jean-Pierre Le Gresley’s career has not been ordinary. He’s the new guy in town in insurance. Jean-Pierre comes straight out of the sports world. Previously an athlete, he began to advise entrepreneurs on starting up businesses. Afterwards, he became a businessman by managing fitness clubs, which he did for more than seven years.

Some time later, as he began his training as a group plan advisor, he saw many connections between the two areas of expertise. Now Director of Innovation in Group Health, he uses his past experience to come up with innovative solutions and establish partnerships for group wellness within companies.

Véronique began her professional career as an entrepreneur, and later played different roles in sales and upper management at Yellow Pages. Over the past 20 years, she has consulted for numerous Canadian companies, large and small, across multiple industries. Véronique is widely recognized for her expertise in customer experience optimization and change management for lines of business where performance is measured on the organization’s ability to innovate.

Her rich background makes her a natural fit for Martel&Martel at this point in its history. Like many industries, the insurance business is being disrupted by new technologies and new client expectations. As executive director, Véronique has the mandate to implement a culture of change and mobilize the teams around service and innovation.

Karine Poirier is distinguished by her interpersonal skills and her dynamism. She loves to interact with people. She has excellent skills for creating links. She uses this force to surround herself with influent people. Very diplomat with her colleagues, she is recognized for her great ability to detect their potential and to make them exploit their strengths. With great flexibility and excellent adaptability, Karine has the ability to manage complex situations and likes to find the solutions which are necessary. This positivism helps her going at the end of her actions and her ambitions. Very conscientious, rational, responsible we can always count on her. Karine has accumulated more than 15 years of experience in insurance. She has held several positions as personal damage insurance broker and businesses. Her last training, as a manager/accompanying person, confirms her desire to bring his colleagues to other levels and, as a challenge, to use her expertise for the customer experience.
